Why Do Water Spots Form?

As long as a car drives on the road, all kinds of grime will stick to its body. In particular, when pollutants such as exhaust gas or factory emissions attach to the body, they dissolve into the wax layer and gradually cause dullness. What starts as a faint, barely noticeable layer of grime gets sealed inside the film with each repeated coat of wax, gradually hardening into stubborn water spots. Once the discoloration becomes clearly visible, it's no longer easy to remove, and using overly strong chemicals can end up damaging the paint — so caution is needed. With a coating application, the coating agent is applied after the body's grime has been removed, which keeps water spots and other grime from sticking and makes future dirt easier to remove.
