Reviewing Oil Types & Common Concerns
Does any of this sound familiar? Here are some common questions we hear, along with how we think about them.
-
Q. Are you using different oil types scattered across multiple machines?
A. Using a different oil for each application tends to make ordering and inventory management complicated. We'll ask about your machines and how they're used, then propose consolidating oil types where possible.
-
Q. Has management become difficult because your suppliers and brands are split across multiple vendors?
A. Consolidating to a single point of contact can reduce the effort involved in ordering and inventory management. Let us know how you currently place your orders, and we'll take it from there.
-
Q. Are you confident the oil you're currently using is really the best fit?
A. We'll check together whether the oil you're currently using is appropriate for your equipment and operating conditions. If a better-suited product exists, we'll propose it along with the reasoning behind it.
-
Q. Are you worried about accidentally using the wrong oil because there are too many types?
A. Reducing the number of oil types itself lowers the risk of mis-fueling. We'll propose a reasonable consolidation that fits how the oil is actually used on site.
-
Q. Have your operating conditions — high temperature, low temperature, high load — changed without a corresponding review of your oil type?
A. A change in operating conditions is a good opportunity to review your oil type. We'll propose a product suited to your current conditions.
-
Q. Is buying in small quantities making your costs higher than they need to be?
A. Reviewing your purchase unit or container size (pail cans, drum cans, etc.) can sometimes lower your costs. Feel free to ask us about bulk purchasing that matches your usage.
We'll propose oil-type consolidation or the optimal product to match your machines and how you use them. Feel free to contact us first.
